Bus fare increase

I think it's justified. JUTC needs the money but honestly though, I think they have too many routes. This translates to too many busses running at once with it's consequent costs. Why don't they cut some routes, let the route taxis take care of those & concentrate on the profitable ones. It's a company not a charity. Focus on profits. If you say it's for the public and you can't run it like that, then subsidize it & stop complaining about the financial bleeding! You can't have it both ways in this life, inefficiency does not improve profits (unless you are a monopoly with governmental connections!) so I hope the bureaucrats get some common sense soon. Plus you would have the added benefit of giving the taximen a source of revenue where they won't clash with the buses & thus siphon off revenue from JUTC. I think this is the way to go but the government, I fear, doesn't like solutions. Guess it's too easy. Will keep my ears open on this one. Won't be going away anytime soon, I fear. Later.
