Thanks James.

Got this comment. Got me thinking. Really appreciate the constructive (positive & negative) comments I get. Keep them coming. I really appreciate his one. Thanks again, James.

Howdy, bro; took me over an hour to finish reading your many entries but I want to tell you I enjoyed reading so much more than I did last time. I liked seeing your kids and their beautiful smiles, the car show, the many quotations from various sources, and your sex wars piece / men & women, was priceless. **re June 14 blog, on your '99 checklist, were these notes on slowing Christians down not originally from C.S. Lewis' The Wormwood stories? I believe so . You have many insights that God does not share with everyone; your heart is very much fertile, rich soil for the Holy Spirit, The Father takes much pleasure in hearts like yours.
May I share something with you re. serving God? I learned many years ago that there are times when we recognize an area of our lives where we are weak and are undoubtedly failing God; we might agonize over our flesh and even be unwilling to surrender some fleshly possession or habit. But if we do recognize the fault, we can still pray "Lord, help me to be willing; I will to be willing". This is no mighty revelation, and is no instant cure for any mortal weakness, but it is effective....if we let it. The Lord bless you, brother. P.S.- marriage has its trials, unlike anything in single life, and is not a cure for the itches the single person feels. Loneliness, I have found, can be far greater when you have a mate (and imperfect times in your relationship) than when you are single. BUT...if you desire the wonderful pleasures of femalecompanionship...and love being tried & tested to bring about greater maturity in Christ....marriage can be sweet. So, do not move in FEAR, move in love. James 'aka Templar' Pettitt
