Evaluation from Troy
This is Troy's belief:
"If you were to be given a rating for the year of 2004 it would be 6.5/10. The way in which you deal with some events in the group is unsatisfactory. A typical example is the situation between KIM & JERDINE. Yes you spoke to both of them but after a while it’s like you allowed the situation to play out itself, which was good (to a point), but what if it did not go your way and Kim or Jerdine chose to remain emotionally hurt and because of that one of them decided to backslide, what would you have done then? My advice for the next time something like this happens again (GOD forbid!) is for you to be more vigilant in your approach.
Next, is the social at Adrian’s house which to me ended badly after a promising start. Please if you are going to pull something like that again,do it
before everyone starts to enjoy themselves, because it's not easy to leave a depressing home, start to enjoy yourself and forgetting the problems at home and then someone does something like that; trust me, it makes you feel even worse, and finally, we need more depth when we are discussing the Word of GOD."
Well, Troy, I will address your concerns. First how I handled the Kim/Jerdine affair was the best way to go. Hands-off as much as possible. Trust me. Think about it. How else could I've done it? The social was probably too rigid. when I meant social, I didn't say "party" but you teens have a different language.Oh well. Depth in Bible... Remember it's Bible HIGHLIGHTS not study. We got tuesday nights for study. I just want to point out little things in the Word for you to be curious enough to read for yourself. Just a note of the intention. Thanks.
