Graduations

Why do people spend so much money on graduations? Isn't it a big waste of time? $50,000 for one night? That's nearly US$1,000! Just for a night that may turn out to be boring? Personally, i think that graduation is overrated. Just collect your paper and leave the school! sheesh! Why this annoying ritual. We pay for school fees, then pay to get the diploma? Crap!
