Recharge 2005 was boring. Glad it was free. I hope it ministered to someone because it didn't entertain me. Just went to carry my kids. Hope next year will be better. Just my opinion. later.

Sex at the workplace

Is it ok for married christian couples to have sex at their workplace or on the church compound? Just occurred to me. What do you think? Is it bad for their witness? If you are not open-minded, feel free to ignore this. Later.

My girls are leaving

2 of my girls are leaving for the golidays. Joining 1 who's there already. will miss them terribly but I'll survive. Hope they enjoy themselves. All the best, ladies. God bless you. Safe travel. Happy experiences. Cute guys.

Quiz

Quiz was funny. We started out even with the others but fell behind due to enthusiastic answering. For example, did you know the Jews were descended from the 12 tribes of JUDAH! That was priceless. Members' Meeting

First in a long while I participated. Normally, i don't waste my breath as most of the church doesn't seem interested in evolving. Except for a select few, nobody speaks or questions anything. They just show up. Then they go outside & grumble like little babies & tattle-tales. Annoys me. If you don't like something, talk about it in the meeting. Don't gossip outside & defame your church & God! Just my opinion. Asked a church leader some questions. She was obviously unable to answer. Guess not used to accountability. Will try again in september. Should be fun. Who don't like it, you know what you can do about it. Might use my poll to get some info to make an accurate assessment. Later. Youth Meeting

I like youth meeting. Not so bad. The people are not like me though. And I don't think I fit in. But God says to fellowship with the saints so I'll try. They don't seem to understand me either. I'll just attend & stay quiet. That way, they won't get the wrong idea. I wish they had a church for thinkers only. Then I could go there and belong. Oh well. Youth meeting is the only weeknight worth going to right now for me as bible study is not teaching me anything but I go in the hope that one day it will. Hope is a wonderful thing. Respect due to Kirk for his strong leadership. Not perfect, but strong. God bless Him. Later.

Graduations

Why do people spend so much money on graduations? Isn't it a big waste of time? $50,000 for one night? That's nearly US$1,000! Just for a night that may turn out to be boring? Personally, i think that graduation is overrated. Just collect your paper and leave the school! sheesh! Why this annoying ritual. We pay for school fees, then pay to get the diploma? Crap! We earned it, so why do we need to pay for it? Oh well, i graduated 12 years ago, so maybe times have changed. Later,

Met her recently. One of my young guys' friends. Seems ok. Has potential so I'll invest some of my resources on her. Catholic though. Big problem as their doctrine is different from ours. My policy is that if it's not in the bible, I don't serve it. Just my opinion. Will see how deep she is in her religion. Hope she reads her Bible & embraces God. More on her later.

Church members who are selfish

Why do some people come to church, talk about sharing & think that money is everything? Why can't u carry home someone out of your way? Why can't u help someone do some menial tasks that are below you? aren't we calle dto do things like this? Or only the offering plate matters? Just my opinion but I think that most christians are selfish. Still too carnal. But then, Who am I to talk? I am one too and my carnal desires aren't better than theirs. So shall we all pray for each other? Work on the giving of non-monetary things though. Make God proud.

Can you lust after your wife?

It occurred to me recently. Is it lust if you look at your wife in sexual terms only? As in you just want to jump on her without any time for lovemaking rituals? Or is it acceptable to God? I don't know. So if you do, please comment. Thanks.

Fornication in the church

Was talking to the pastor. He was saying that you can be expelled from membership if you are guilty of sexual immorality. It got me smiling. I wonder if he knows how many of his "upstanding" members are involved in that? I don't know whether but sex is a serious problem in God's church. All forms of it too, as homosexuality is also a burgeoning problem that is being ignored to the detriment of our ministry. Hope we can get that remedied soon. I, for one, am fighting my urges ( sometimes I lose the fight badly) but God knows it's HARD (pun intended). But He thrives on my flesh's weakness so I hope I'll get it subjected soon. Pray for me. Single Parenting

It's so hard to be a single parent. Especially in the church. Your social life is dampened, Old people give you patronizing looks, it's harder to find a mate as most people don't want a ready made family & it's economically difficult. BUt remember that God is there. He loves us no matter our mistales but He punishes us if we ignore His warnings. His warnings are in His Word. Read it. There are many single parents in my country. I am a child living with one. It's not a death sentence but it has its disadvantages. Not gonna go into all of it now but I wish all the single parents out there all the best. God says to pray but also practical hel is available. Just ask Him where to look. God bless you. Hopefully you can rise above the ignorant christians in the chruch who judge everyone else & forget the beam in their eye. Let God lead you and be strong. Later.

Teenage Sex & Pregnancy

So many teens fall for the pregnancy trap. It seems a lot of teenage girls have sex to please THE GUY! Why is this so? Why let him dictate when your first time? Maybe I'm naive and I know the violence attached to refusal but unless you live in the depressed areas, why have sex with a guy who only cares about your body? Won't even go into the condom thing. It beats me how girls practically stand in line to be used by "glamour" boys, then complain that they were used then dumped. After all the girls before THEM got used & dumped! Stupid to me, but then I am a guy. satan is making significant headway with the teen sector of humanity while the church waffles on what to do. Sex is fun, but it's even better when done in a meaningful relationship. God says marriage is the only relationship meaningful enough to have sex in. Just my opinion. Later.

Chris

He is my spiritual godfather. Seems to have gone through what I've been going through already so he knows the ropes. Seems to be ok but overly optimistic. But then in this world, maybe it's a good thing. I appreciate him a lot as he gives me room to improve and seems to prefer rehabilitation over punishment. Honestly wonder how he fits in this church but God is sovereign. If he wasn't at church, I am reasonably certain a lot of people would leave a long time ago. He's like a breath of fresh air. Conversely, if he died tomorrow, I think his funeral would rival rev. Lue's. Just my opinion. Hope to continue learning from him. God bless u, Chris.

Relationships vs "friends with benefits"

What's this new trend of being "just" riends? So many peopel are doing it nowadays. "Friends with benefits". The "benefits" are usually sexual or, at the very least, emotionally intimate. This serves to blur the line between boyfriend/girlfriend and friend. guess it's a way to get your urges satiated without any entanglements. I think it's not Godly as it violates ethics. Physical intimacy should be within the confines of relationships leading to or already into marriage. If you have NO plans to marry the person, why get physically intimate with them and call it "benefits"? Isn't that the abuse of semantics? I really worry when young christians use this as a means of sexual exploration as the consequences scare me. I've been there so I won't be self-righteous but I don't want anyone to get into the same trap as I have. Hard to get out. Just think long & hard before you start justifying wrong. Later.

Pornography

This is confused a lot of times with masturbation. They are 2 different things. Pornography is the material, masturbation is the action. I used to like porn but I think it got boring if you watch it too much. They always do the same things. boy meets girl in some situation. They talk some crap. Sudden;y the music changes & they are in bed together doing sexual acts. Finish. What's the point. No variation much (unless you count threesomes, orgies, bestiality, etc.) which is the problem of casual sex. After you get satiated, you rapidly run out of new things to enjoy. Now I can't tell anyone what to do but I suggest we all heed God when He says wait till marriage. He invented it so He must know the best way to use it. Later.
