Facts about Teens

Most Christians come to Christ under 18. Therefore we need to focus a significant amount of our evangelistic efforts to them. Consider this:

• 3.1 billion people under 25
• This generation is the largest generation of Youth ever.
• This generation is the most unreached teens.
• This generation is the most reachable set of teens ever.
• This means that the Youth is our largest mission field.

The teenage global culture has defined teens significantly. Therefore most teens are :

• consumer - driven
• sex - saturated
• receives messages from music
• absorbed by computers
• experiencing weak family support
• obsessed with the "here & now"
• relationally disconnected
• easily provoked to anger
• losing their innocence/virginity early
• searching for significance to life
