JPS and blackouts

The CEO of JPS, Mr. Charles Matthews, is suggesting power cuts & daylight saving time as ways of saving money & cutting down fuel costs. Is he real? Do you really think that this would cut your already illogical light bill? I mean if you are not at home, living in a studio or quad & your bill is the same as someone with a 3 bedroom house who stays home all day what hope do you have of actually seeing a reduction in your bill no matter what “cost-cutting” measures are taken? Just my opinion. So when we get these power cuts, what happens during emergencies? Won’t production be also cut & hence the countries GDP? Am I thinking too much? Am I the only one thinking? To top it all off, Mr. Matthews is saying that to Mirant, JPS was a bad investment. If that’s the case why don’t they sell it? They made US$10 million last quarter and that’s a bad investment? Interesting. I believe that the JPS is deliberately misinforming the public and I hope that the government will wake up & do its regulatory duties without more delay. Whither the OUR?
