Christians in Politics

Why aren't christians active in politics? We claim to serve an all-knowing God who is powerful in every way. So wouldn't we be the best leaders for the country? Some say that we should let the pagans govern themselves but didn't God tell us to occupy till He returns? I seriously wonder if christians care about their duties. The church is STILL an embarassment! This includes me by the way, but I'm working on my part. I think it would be a refreshing change for the country if we had christian leaders. Right now though the "church" leaders are only good for speaking out against casinos. Everything else causes a deafening silence so loud it makes your ears ring! I love God but I am disappointed in my church leaders. Who to tell? Maybe one day, I'll become a church leader, huh? Should make life fun & uncomfortable.
